DH and I took a gourd class with Don Weeke where we learned how to clean and decorate a dried gourd with weaving, twining, coiling, couching, tenneriffe lace, knottless knitting, wood burning plus paints and leather dyes. Quite a fun and enjoyable workshop...would recommend it to all.

They are not canopic jars from the ancient tombs of Egypt; however, I would be the first to put one of my precious organs inside either gourd (that is, upon death).
that gourd on the right is totally radical-what an unbelieveable creation; seeing it up close, magnified, revealed magic...
